The Director of HR Operations wanted to adjust the direction of the ongoing HR change program to ensure the HR function brought real added value to other areas of the business.
Independent was asked by KCOM To play a key part in this change program in July 2006.

The Outsourcing of the Recruitment Function
The outsourcing of the Recruitment Operation to Independent has brought significant cost savings and performance improvements across the company.
Independent Recruitment Process Outsourcing specialist division (Independent RPO) introduced tight account management, subject matter expertise and robust reporting to enable recruitment decisions to be based on solid facts, rather than relying on gut instinct or anecdotal evidence.
Significant improvements have been realised in Cost, Time and Quality through the successful implementation and delivery of a robust operational recruitment process in conjunction with the broader resourcing strategy and value add projects and services.

The benefits from outsourcing the recruitment were evident very rapidly, with reduced reliance on suppliers and tangible financial savings. These benefits are proving to be consistent from year to year through incremental cost savings and continuous improvement.
